February 19, 2009

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing with two updates from the Office of International Studies, 1) involving students in OIS programs and 2) announcing faculty appointments for summer 09 & AY 2009-10.

A.  Student participants in OIS programs, 2009-10

In response to your request, the OIS application system has added a feature to allow reference writers to see student decisions.  Now that the February 13 confirmation deadline has passed, you may view a list of those students for whom you have written a reference by clicking on the “Reference Writers” link on the OIS homepage (http://www.nd.edu/~ois/), and sign in. Those students who have accepted will show the word "confirmed" in the far right column.  You may expand your viewing window horizontally for easiest viewing.  We in the Office of International Studies appreciate the time that you dedicate to enhancing international educational opportunities for our students both before and after the decision letters are received.
