Perhaps the last item is not is not widely known, let alone valued on our campus, but it should be, since it produces one of the highest mortality rates among those diagnosed with cancer.

However, it is generally seen as having a conservative-bias, as if the Christian Right represents the entire spectrum of believers. I was at the presentation and when Father Harvey said, "I don't want to talk about the hostile environment" or words to that effect, he was talking about the hostile environment he encounters as a pro-chastity leader who supports Catholic teaching concerning homosexuality.

      I would like publicly to thank the faculty, staff and students of the College of Arts and Letters for their support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. We organized a fund-raiser within the College to support of the efforts of the St. Joseph county Cancer Society and to raise awareness of this cancer which afflicts so many women.

      Thursday night — the cold rain sweeps over the campus in sheets, pushing the population indoors. Everything is quiet, still, peaceful and cold. However, the atmosphere is quite different on the stage of Washington Hall. Inside, it is a tempest of sound, movement and emotion — anything but peaceful. It is the site of the final rehearsals for the Department of Film Theater and Telvision's latest production, "Love's Fire."
