To end their season, the Belles could only muster a single victory, defeating Adrian College.
The Belles' final rank in the MIAA conference was seventh, with a final conference record of 6-12.
The final week of the season left the Belles with a bitter taste in their mouths.
"We were a little disappointed with the results in the last week of the season, but we are proud of how we played. The ranking doesn't reflect how well we played all season," said junior captain Heather Muth.
But the Belles ended their season on a positive note. Saint Mary's defeated Adrian College, 6-4. Concannon added two more goals to her record. She was the lead scorer for the season. Molly McCavitt, Wendy Irvin, Shannon Artnak and Emily Wagoner also scored goals for the Belles.
The third game of the week was against Saint Mary's arch rivals, the Olivet Comets. This game had been rescheduled from a postponement earlier in the season. Coming off of a crushing defeat at the hands of the Comets, the Belles experienced deja vu in the 3-2 loss.
The second game was a tough match up against number one Albion College.
Saint Mary's was again defeated, this time by a score of 4-1. The Britons ended their season still in the number one position, and in doing so become the only team in MIAA history to go through a season completely undefeated.
The lone goal for the Belles was scored by freshman Shannon Artnak.
The first game was against Alma College. The Belles had defeated Alma earlier in the season.
The Scots scored two goals early in the game, but they held up against the Belles.
The only Saint Mary's goal was by freshman Jen Concannon. Even though the Belles outshot the Scots, they were defeated, 3-1.
The end of the season also means that Saint Mary's will say goodbye to the seniors.
The Belles will lose three seniors, Adrian Kirby, Jessica Klink and Katy
Robinson, after this year, which means that next year looks promising because the team was dominated by underclassmen that gained valuable experience this year.
Muth put it well by saying, "We're in a good position for next year."
