Davie was disrespectful

Ever the optimist, I nonetheless believe Coach Davie must resign. I do not reach this conclusion lightly or because of what happened on the field last Saturday against Michigan State. My reasons stem from what did not happen on the field on Saturday.
Where were the Irish players and coaches during the pre-game ceremonies? Did Coach Davie conclude that those last few minutes to prepare to play the game were more important that leading his players and coaching staff onto the field to stand in solidarity with the fans, the bands and the Spartan players and coaches? Was a last minute pep talk more important that participating in the prayers and praise for those who died, those who took on the roles of heroes and for all of us who carry on as part of this great nation? God, Country, Notre Dame?
Coach Davie cannot offer any valid explanation for the disrespect shown by the failure to be on the field. He must answer for this serious error in judgment. His answer should be resignation.
