dies at age 53

Glenn Rousey, director of the Masters in Science Administration program, died Feb. 10 at the hospice of St. Joseph County in Roseland. He was 53.
Rousey had administered the MSA program at Notre Dame since 1990. Before that, he taught and counseled in schools in Milwaukee, Wisc., Monroe, Mich., Indianapolis, Ind., Birmingham, Ala., and Santa Monica, Calif. He was named principal of St. Joseph High School in South Bend in 1980.
Rousey received a master's degree from Notre Dame, and was a member of the Brothers of the Holy Cross from 1965 to 1973, but he did not take permanent vows. He was graduated from Shawe Memorial High School in Madison, Ind., and received his degree from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas.
He was buried Monday in Cedar Grove Cemetery on campus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, or to St. Joseph High School, or to the MSA Program at Notre Dame.
