SMC mourns loss of alumna

      When Kate McCloughan-Krzyzak received two new lungs last October, she got a second chance at life. The transplant was supposed to be a last-chance treatment to ease her struggles with cystic fibrosis, a hereditary disorder that affects the respiratory and digestive systems.
