NSL lab paging system.

The paging system in the NSL broadcasts into all reaches of the lab. Pages can be made from any lab telephone by getting a dial tone and then pressing "PAGE". If you answer a call and want to page someone, press "FORWARD", then "PAGE", make the announcement and hang up. The page system stays on for about 30 seconds, after which it disconnects automagically. This is to prevent the paging system from getting “locked up” by a call which never hangs up.
The "PAGE" buttons on the lab phones are really just ‘autodial’ buttons programmed to dial the page system. The system can be reached from any phone just by dialing its number. This can be useful if someone was in the lab late at night and not working near a phone which they could hear ringing. If someone outside needed to reach them and couldn’t reach them by phone, they could page by just dialing the system’s number. If you would like to know the page number, get it from Jim Kaiser. It will not be published on the web for obvious reasons.
