Numerous professors in the Department of Anthropology focus on the reconstruction of daily life in antiquity using a biocultural approach. 

The Laboratory for Biocultural Studies provides excellent space for these activities, including a suite of chemistry labs, a large osteology/comparative anatomy lab, secure space for forensic analysis, temperature/humidity controlled storage for archaeological collections, and 3 dedicated archaeology research labs.
