The Future of NSBE

The future of the National Society of Black Engineers is unlimited. With the continued dedication of the members and supporters, NSBE can and will achieve its full potential. The projects listed above are but a small sample of the infinite possibilities.

THE 2009-2010 NATIONAL DIRECTIVES

Each year your elected National Chairperson provides key areas that NSBE will focus and strive for that year that he or she is elected. For 2009 - 2010, your National Chairperson, has set these areas below as our National Directives. As members, we must strive to tailor our programs, efforts and activities around these directives.

Retention:

Develop and implement programming aimed to reduce
th number of its members failing gateway courses:
Calculus, Physics and Chemistry

International Development:

Clearly define the benefits of international membership
as well as create a standardized process for
international incorporation eligibility

Scholastic Achievement:

Provide resources to close the gap on junior members'
performance on college entrance tests

Economic Empowerment:

Provide programming to foster the development of
black-owned technical businesses. As well as exploring different funding avenues in an effort to become self-sufficient
