All students admitted to the Interfaces/GAANN program are provided with financial support that includes an annual stipend, tuition waiver, research and travel funds.

• Annual stipend — Minimum of $18,000 for 12 months
• Tuition — Fully waived for 5 years
• Research and travel funds — Minimum of $2,500 per year

In addition, students have the opportunity to conduct research as part of an international internship for a semester. The purpose of the internship is to gain experience in a country and culture where the emphasis on pollution prevention and environmental protection may be significantly different than in the U.S. The internship is fully funded by the GAANN program.

GAANN scholars in their second and third years of the program will be given an undergraduate research assistant to assist them in their projects.
