Any Ticket Can Be Appealed

Any Ticket may be appealed to the Traffic and Parking Appeals Board.

Broad Representation on the Appeals Board

The Appeals Board is made up of members of the faculty, staff and student body. No one from the Security Office or Parking
Services Office is a part of the Board.

Appeals Must Be in Writing on the Form Provided

Your appeal should be made in writing on an appeals form but may be made by writing a letter to the Board, attaching the ticket and including the following information: your University ID number, your vehicle decal number, the date of the ticket, the date of your appeal and your address.
NOTE: Appeals can not be filed electronically via e-mail.

We Will Write To You After Your Ticket Is Reviewed

Your appeal will have a fair review by the Board. The Board meets just once a week so it may take up to two (2) weeks to review your appeal and send you notification. The decision of the Board will be communicated to you in writing. Please, do not call or stop at the Parking Office to find out the decision. We will write to you as soon as a decision is reached.

You Can Re-appeal In Person or In Writing

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the appeal, you may re-appeal the citation by either writing another appeal or by appearing in person before the Board. The second review and finding by the Appeals Board is final.

Ask for a copy of the traffic and parking regulations and map if you don't have a copy.

The Parking Services Office is located in the Campus Security Building and is open from 8 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. They can be reached at 631-5053.
