All crimes listed in this public report are based on preliminary criminal reports supplied to the police department by the reporting parties.  Some of the crimes listed may reflect information that has not yet been verified or may include mechanical or human error.  In addition, the criminal classification and/or status of the listed case may be changed after further investigation.  Finally, some of the reports may involve attempted crimes.

Except for arrests, homicides and property crimes, this public report has attempted to remove information where the reported offense was the result of an estranged relationship between the victim and offender and/or where the victim was engaging in a criminal act.

Furthermore, reported offenses where the investigator determined the crime to be “UNFOUNDED” have been excluded from thisreport.

By filtering out the aforementioned types of reports, it is the Regional Office’s goal to give citizens a better reflection of various crimes in their neighborhood and those crimes that could affect them.

Finally, the synopsis of crimes in this report only includes formal police reports and NOT incidents that did not require an official police report.

The purpose of this report is as follows:

1.  Citizens are educated about various types of crime occurring in their neighborhood.
2.  The report motivates a citizen to be more alert of suspicious activity.
3.  The report can educate a citizen on how to better protect themselves.
4.  From the offenses listed in this report, a citizen may be able to provide police with an investigative lead.
