Eric Herbert is a senior Civil Engineering major from Hartland, Wisconsin. With the desire to be able to impact the lives of the general public and eagerness to stay away from chemistry and electricity, Civil Engineering is the perfect fit for Eric. Having done home-repair workcamps through his hometown church and the Appalachia program at Notre Dame, he is ecstatic to be able to apply his engineering knowledge to help villages in Nicaragua.
Outside of intramural and interhall sports, such as football, broomball, and volleyball, Eric is a member of the PCI Big Beam and ASCE Steel Bridge Competition teams, the Chi Epsilon and Tau Beta Pi honor societies, and works as a Resident Assistant in Dillon Hall. He believes NDSEED will be an invaluable learning experience not only for his career, but also for life.
