Peña Blanca: The location of ND SEED's bridge site is near the village of Peña Blanca. Besides being dangerous to cross, Peña Blanca's current bridge floods over each year during the rainy season. During its October trip to Honduras, ND SEED selected possible locations for bridge abutments, classified the soil and rock in these areas, and performed a detailed topographical survey.
