TRANSCRIPT REQUEST
New Service: The Office of the Registrar now offers official electronic transcripts (e-transcripts). The content of the official transcript is converted into a PDF document and delivered to the recipient by our contracted provider, eScrip-Safe. Visit the e-transcript site for further information.
There is NO FEE for transcripts
unless you request special delivery.
Requests for transcripts will not be honored if you are financially indebted to the University and the Office of Students Accounts has placed a transcript hold on your record.
Current Students: Login to insideND
and use the "Transcript Request" link (within the Student Academic Services channel on the Student Academic tab) to order your transcript. Your
authentication into insideND is the required "signature" for
your transcript order. You can also track your order at "Transcript
Request - View Status".
If you have a form that needs to be attached to your transcript, please bring it to the Office of the Registrar, where you can order your transcript through insideND on the office computers.
If you enter your campus dorm address, you must
come to the Office of the Registrar to pick-up your transcript(s).
Former Students: All transcript requests from former students are REQUIRED to include the following:
- Full name under which you attended/graduated Notre Dame
- Date of birth (MM,DD,YYYY)
- Last four digits of your Social Security Number or your completed ndID number (not available prior to 2005)
- Written signature
- A daytime telephone number (cell phone numbers are preferred)
- Mailing address (paper) or e-mail address (e-transcript) of person, school, or company where the transcript is to be sent (e-transcripts are not available prior to 1982)
Additional helpful information:

- Your return address
A transcript cannot be ordered by a simple e-mail or telephone call. However, you may send the request by mail, fax, or attach the completed and scanned transcript form to an e-mail and send it to transcripts.1@nd.edu.
It is preferred that you complete the Transcript
Request Form.
A letter of request will also be accepted but it MUST contain the required information listed above.

OTHER TRANSCRIPT INFORMATION
Federal Express - There is no transcript fee, but there is a
fee which Federal Express charges. The charge for using Federal Express
varies by ZIP code and is payable by providing your credit card number
and expiration date. P.O. Box addresses will
NOT be accepted by Federal Express.
Mail your transcript - Transcripts are normally mailed directly
to the person, school, or company you indicated. Please fill in the
appropriate mailing address.
E-Transcript - The content of the official transcript is converted into a PDF document and delivered to the recipient by eScrip-Safe. Visit the e-transcript site for further information.
Pick up your transcript - Transcripts may be picked up by
the student/former student in the Office of the Registrar one to two working days after
receipt of the request. A photo I.D. is required.
Faxing your transcript - If you are requesting your Transcript
to be faxed, fill in the "Fax #" and the "ATTN" line
(for former students), current students follow the directions on insideND.
All transcripts that are faxed (unofficial) must be followed up with
an official mailed copy. Hence, the mailing address must also be completed.
If a mailing address for the official transcript is not provided, the transcript will be sent to your current mailing address. Please note that transcripts
are printed on security paper and faxing the copy will cause the words
"ILLEGAL COPY" to appear over the face of the entire document. We will
attempt to fax your request twice. If these attempts fail because of the receiving equipment or fax number, the transcript will only be mailed.
