Catherine Walsh was born in Dublin in 1964, and spent her childhood there and in the Wexford countryside. She and her partner Billy Mills lived in England and Spain in the 1980s but have now returned to a Dublin that she finds surprisingly, and somewhat distressingly unchanged as a literary city.
