Maurice Scully was born in Dublin in 1952. He was the editor of The Beau magazine in the 1980s and lived for many years in Italy and Africa. His work takes the form of long, linked series of poems, and he recently completed a five book cycle of linked poems. The poems presented here are excerpted from that larger work.
