I had been reading an article on black holes the same day I was recycling Victoria Secret catalogs and the idea for the poem came together.  I always enjoy playing with language, especially when I can draw on words that are normally used in one area to describe something completely opposite—in this case scientific words to describe a bra.  I was surprised how many connections I was seeing between space and lingerie. Who knew the universe and the world of undergarments were so closely related?
