With a strong international background and a successful track record in marketing some of the world’s biggest sporting events, Chris Renner is one of the industry’s most experienced executives. Having developed marketing and sales programs for sports properties as diverse as the Olympic Games, Asian Games, and Major League Baseball, Chris has worked and delivered on projects in Europe, Asia and the United States.


As President of Helios Partners Europe based in Paris, Chris oversees Helios’s offices and partnerships in the UK, Russia, Turkey and France, with a focus on brand and rights holder consultancy. Current clients include Volkswagen Russia (Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games), Dow Chemical (IOC TOP program) and Arsenal Football Club.

His responsibilities include Helios Partners’ China operations, having directed the Beijing office in the period surrounding the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Games-time consulting clients included Samsung, Adidas, Lenovo and Snickers, building on a 20 year career marketing the Olympic Games, beginning with the IOC’s TOP program in 1991.


Beyond the Olympic Games, Chris has provided his marketing and consulting expertise in football (Hyundai-Kia and FIFA World Cup, FIFA 2007 Women’s World Cup China), badminton (FedEx lead sponsorship of Team China) and Tennis (WTA sponsorship and activation).

Chris is married, is the father of three children and resides in Paris.
