JD students may opt to take the second year of their three-year course in London rather than in South Bend. They follow the British three-term system and are therefore in London from late September until mid-June.
LLM students are also in London for the full year. This one-year course is open to law graduates of other universities as well as Notre Dame, so there is a broad cross-section of nationalities represented.
Normally, there are about thirty-five law students in total. The courses are geared to British, European, international, and comparative law systems and the faculty come from several leading British university departments.
Please see the following pages for more information for JD Students and for LLM Students.
The Law Summer Program, open to all graduates in law, usually has about one hundred participants. Faculty come not only from universities in the UK but also from the USA and Australia. Students can dine at one of the Inns of Court and attend other events relevant to the cultural life of London.
For full information, please see the Law Summer Program's webpage.
