License Application Procedure
The University of Notre Dame offers three specific types of Licensing Agreements:
National License
Companies with retail product distribution, beyond the borders of campus, are required to secure a National License. Applications are reviewed by the University's Licensing Committee. The Committee's decisions are based upon product quality, uniqueness, distribution, and proven success with other licensed properties.
The University of Notre Dame's Licensing Program is affiliated with The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC). Companies wishing to apply for a National License should first contact CLC:

Campus License
Companies with retail distribution restricted to the Notre Dame campus are required to obtain a Campus License. The University's retail operations are managed by the Follett Higher Education Group. Companies wishing to secure a Campus License should contact the Hammes Bookstore to establish a "vendor" relationship. Licensing applications are processed through The Collegiate Licensing Company.

University/ Student Vendor License
Student vendor agreements for student fund-raising events are initiated in the Student Activities Office at (574) 631-7308.
University vendor agreements covering the internal purchase (not for resale)of products bearing Notre Dame's trademarks, as well as the names and trademarks of individual Notre Dame schools, colleges, programs, and recognized campus organizations will be established by the Licensing Office and may be initiated in consultation with a specific department or recognized campus organization.

"Look For These Labels"
Officially Licensed Notre Products are required to carry either the Apparel Hangtag or the Hologram Sticker. These symbols on Licensed Products assure the consumer that the products they purchase have been approved by the University of Notre Dame and the companies producing the products have agreed to support the licensing policies of of the University.
