University
Housing
The University of Notre Dame offers on-campus housing
for over 900 graduate students and their families. Housing
is available for single students, married students with
no dependents, and married students with children. All
University-operated housing is located on campus and
within a 15-minute walk of the Law School. Graduate
housing is separate from housing reserved for undergraduates;
however, all residents of graduate housing must agree
to abide by the policies outlined in du lac, the University
Student Handbook. Click
here for information (including photos and maps)
of University Housing.
Applicants
who are offered admission to the Law School, and who
wish to live in University-operated housing, should
complete a housing application as early as possible
after being admitted. Regrettably, not all law students
who wish to live in University housing can be accommodated.
Single
Law Students
Single law students are assigned to the Fischer or O'Hara-Grace
townhouses, located across from the Rolfs athletic recreational
facility and within a ten-minute walk of the Law Building.
The Fischer apartment complex consists of two-person,
two-bedroom units. O'Hara-Grace townhouses are set up
as four-person, four-bedroom units. Students living
in both complexes have access to the University computer
network.
Married
Law Students
Married law students who do not have children may choose
to live in University-operated apartments located on
Cripe Street. These 24, one-bedroom apartments are located
one-half mile northeast of campus, an approximate walk
of 15 minutes to the Law Building. Law students who
have dependents may wish to live in nearby University
Village, an apartment complex designed for families.
Currently, more than 80 graduate, law, and MBA families
live in University Village.
