A variety of scholarships are offered by philanthropic
organizations at the local, regional, and national
levels. These awards usually are limited to particular
populations of students based on geography, class
year, area of interest in law, or ethnic background.
The Law School Admissions staff, as a service to
current and prospective Notre Dame Law students,
has assembled a listing of these external scholarships.
When reviewing this listing, please keep in mind
that criteria and/or terms of the scholarships may
differ from that published in our listing, given
the date it was prepared. Click
here for additional
information regarding these awards.
In
addition to external scholarships and fellowships,
a number of
writing competitions provide “prize” money
to law students who submit a written work and who
are selected on
the basis of the competition. Cash prizes
range in value from $1,000 to $5,000. Click
here for
additional information regarding these writing competitions.
