The
Career Services Office (CSO) offers an array of programs
and services to assist Notre Dame students in identifying
and obtaining challenging and rewarding employment.
Among the services provided to students are the following:
Individual
Counseling
Students can meet individually or in a group with career
services professionals. The CSO recognizes that each
student's career path is different and strives to meet
the needs and interests of individual students, no matter
what a student's career goal(s) may be.
Training
The CSO regularly offers seminars, hands-on workshops,
lectures, guest speakers and panel presentations to
help students gather information and hone job-search
skills. Programs include resume and cover-letter writing,
interviewing skills, and the legal job-search process.
The office also invites alumni and other special guests
to present programs on legal practice areas and alternative
careers in such areas large-firm hiring and practice,
government employment, judicial clerkships, public interest
careers and corporate practice - just to name a few.

Interviewing
Notre Dame Law School attracts over 250 employers from
all areas of the country to campus every year to interview
for summer and permanent positions. In support of this
sizeable On Campus Interviewing program, the CSO coordinates
a mock interview program each semester to help students
strengthen their interviewing skills. Additionally,
the CSO provides videoconferencing services so that
employers may interview students when schedule conflicts
prohibit the in-person, on-campus interview.

Employment
Opportunities
The CSO has partnered with providers such as Symplicity
and PSLawnet to bring to students thousands of job
postings and internship opportunities, along with access
to career-related internet resources. In addition,
students have online access to all job postings, as
well as on-campus interview bidding and scheduling
programs.

Networking
The Notre Dame alumni family is truly a treasure-trove
in its own right. The CSO works closely with the Law
School Relations Office to connect students and alumni
through networking and mentoring lists, as well as through
receptions and other alumni-focused functions coordinated
with local bar associations and local Notre Dame alumni
clubs across the country.

Resource
Center
Accessible 24 hours a day, the CSO Resource Center provides
both electronic access and printed materials to assist
students in their career-planning efforts. Additional
handouts and resources are acquired or prepared each
year specifically for Notre Dame Law School students
and are available at the Center.
