The cost of tuition in the London LL.M. Programme is designed to be comparable to the fees charged for graduate degree programs at other universities in Great Britain. For the 2007-2008 academic year, tuition and other fees will be as follows (all costs in U.S. dollars):

For students from the United Kingdom and other European Union countries:

Tuition
$9,130
Library Fees
   700
Total
$ 9,830

For students from the United States and nonEuropean Union countries:

Tuition
$20,900
Library Fees
     700
Total
$ 21,600

No scholarships are available for LL.M. program participants.

While scholarships are not available for LL.M. Program participants, students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents may apply for federal student loans by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents may apply with a U.S. co-signer for the Notre Dame Loan. Both the FAFSA and ND Loan applications are available online at the Financial Aid Office website. It is critical for student loan recipients to understand that loan funds become available once classes in London have begun; therefore, students must prepare in advance to cover any deposits or other expenses incurred prior to the start of the program.

The following suggestions are offered to help participants make financial arrangements for educational expenses incurred prior to receiving loan funds for the academic year:

  • Personal resources (employment during the summer months, savings)
  • Secure funds from a family member whom you can repay once loan funds are available
  • Consider borrowing additional funds in the current school year

Loan assistance may be obtained for the full cost of the program, including living expenses, books, and transportation. Students must, however, enroll on at least a half-time basis to receive loan assistance. Questions concerning financial aid may be directed to the Office of Financial Aid at (574) 631–6436 or via e-mail at finaid@nd.edu.
