SOP UPDATES

As FLSC updates, modifies, and refines standard operating procedures, we will make available those changes to the researchers at the university. To facilitate the dissemination of this information the revised SOPs will be available in pdf format and printable from this page. Click on the links below to access the updated materials of your choice. New and updated policies will also be available as printed copies at the information center just inside the FLSC foyer for a 1 - 3 month period.

FLSC has written new Guidelines for Rodent Dehydration that have been reviewed by the IACUC.  This new document contains information on the types of fluids used for dehydration but describes the signs of dehydration and methods to evaluate dehydration. As with any medical condition, consultation with the Attending Veterinarian will provide additional insight on the safety and appropriateness of specific treatments. The document is available on the SOP Download page as a Word document (.doc) or an Adobe Acrobat file (pdf.).

Rodent Dehydration

FLSC has developed new SOPs for the veterinary care and treatment of conditions seen in some of our animal colonies. All researchers and their staff will be required to follow these procedures when these conditions arise. FLSC strives to provide the best medical care and support to animals following upto date treament protocols. The buttons below link to word documents.  Adobe Acrobat files (pdf.) and word documents are available on the SOP Download page for printing or downloading.
