Requesting Service

Facilities Operations maintains and operates residential and academic facilities. The Athletic Department, Food Services, Auxiliary Enterprises, Student Life and the Religious Provincial facilities are operated and maintained within their own departmental funding. However, major rehabilitation and renovation to these facilities are managed by Facilities Operations or the Office of the University Architect.

Services performed by Facilities Operations can be initiated in one of three ways, depending on the nature of the work required:

  1. Service Desk: Emergency--631-8888, Non-Emergency--631-7701. Most repairs should be reported via an on-line work request. However, it may not be practical to send a request for a leaky pipe or unsafe electrical problem; please call our service desk for repairs of this nature.

  2. Work Requests:  For services such as estimating projects, installing new electrical service, painting offices, laying new carpet, making new keys, repairing furniture, installing computer cabling or setting up space for special campus events, a work request should be submitted on-line.  Only approved and trained individuals have access to the work request through the InsideND page.   A form needs to be approved by your supervisor or dean and sent to Gene Giles.

  3. Survey Request Forms: For minor remodeling and general building improvements, a survey process has been developed to assess and prioritize facility needs across campus. Survey request forms are distributed annually to each academic and residential unit and are submitted to Campus Administration each year for funding consideration.

If you are unsure which method to use, our service desk staff will be happy to assist you; call us at 631-7701.
