Question: What is the main role of Facilities Operations?

Facilities Operations will fix routine maintenance problems, such as plumbing, electrical, glass repairs, etc. in the University's Academic or Residential facilities.  Call 1-7701 for routine services or 1-8888 for emergency services.

Facilities Operations will also assist in the set up of chairs, tables and any other arrangements necessary for special events for student organizations, staff and faculty.  Call 1-8327 for General Services.

 

Question: Who should be contacted for elevator repair?

Call 1-7701 for routine services or 1-8888 for emergency services.

Question: Who should be notified about a water leak?

Call the Preventive Maintenance staff in the building or the Facilities Emergency Service at 1-8888.

Question: Who should be called in a power outage?

If the power is out in the entire building, call Utilities at 1-6594.  If the power is out in a localized area, call the Preventive Maintenance staff in the building or the Facilties Emergency Service at 1-8888.

 

Question: What is the process to request an event setup?

Complete an on-line work request for event setup services, such as arranging chairs, tables and other furniture.

 

Question: What is the process to request moving office furniture?

Complete an on-line work request to move office furniture, including a description of the type and size of items to be moved as well as both office locations (original office address and new office address).
