The mission of Auxiliary Services is to enhance student and academic life in such a way as to reflect the Catholic character of the University of Notre Dame, while advancing the business endeavors of the University. Cedar Grove Cemetery provides a dignified Christian burial for members of the Notre Dame community and their families. The burial of the dead is recognized as a religious rite and Cedar Grove's operations are conducted in such a manner as to be worthy of participating in these religious rites. The staff is dedicated to maintaining Cedar Grove as a place of sacred memories of the dead and of comfort for the living.

The Center for Continuing Education (CCE), located in McKenna Hall, is the place where scholarship and hospitality meet. The CCE acts as the University's conference center, fulfilling its academic charge from the Provost by hosting Notre Dame sponsored scholarly conferences, and its hospitality mission by acting as a point of entry for campus visitors and conference guests. The professional staff of the CCE offers comprehensive conference planning services to University and non-University personnel alike, services which include conference budget preparation and financial management, event venue selection and reservations, conference registration, on-site meeting support, hotel room block procurement, and all food event detail planning. The Licensing Department is commissioned with the responsibility of promoting and protecting the integrity of the University by authorizing qualified manufacturers to use the University's Trademarks in the production of high quality products produced under acceptable working conditions as specified in the University of Notre Dame Code of Conduct. The newly renovated Morris Inn is a 92 room full service hotel centrally located on the University of Notre Dame campus. The Inn features the award winning Sorin’s Restaurant, serving the public daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Comprised of a strategic mix of residential board plan dining, retail, and catering, Notre Dame Food Services markets its products to the students, staff and visitors of the Notre Dame campus. During the academic year, the two campus dining halls serve over fifteen-thousand meals per day. The retail operations division includes University-owned national franchises, casual dining restaurants, express/convenience eateries, football stadium and athletic concessions, vending, laundry services, and an office refreshment service. The catering division provides a wide range of products and services to meet the special-event needs of a diverse clientele and has catered events for as many as ten-thousand guests.
In order to support the mission of the University, Notre Dame Food Services also provides a number of critical support services, such as the nutritional and food allergy counseling program available to all members of the Notre Dame community. Another important service is the campus identification card network which provides customers with convenient cashless payment options to purchase Food Services products and services. Food Services also operates a mini food factory and trucking distribution system to optimize the logistics of transporting and warehousing large volumes of food. This food factory also enables Food Services to provide its facilities with production support and world-class product development. St. Michael's Laundry provides garment cleaning services, balanced in high quality and cost effectiveness, to the entire University community. With two convenient locations, the main plant located just north of campus and our on-campus location at the corner of Holy Cross Drive and Sorin Court, our services are customized to meet the unique needs of our clients:
Students receive over-the-counter laundry, dry-cleaning, and tailoring services, as well as personal bundle services which include weekly pickup and delivery. Summer storage and a monthly student billing option are also available.
University Departments receive over-the-counter laundry, dry-cleaning, poundage rate for bulk cleaning of uniforms and kitchen linens, daily, weekly, evening and weekend pickup and delivery, grade A linen leasing, and uniform rental and repair services.
Faculty and Staff receive over-the-counter laundry, dry-cleaning, tailoring, and linen leasing services.
Religious receive over-the-counter laundry, dry-cleaning, tailoring and personal bundle service including weekly pickup and delivery.

Retail Operations: Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore is responsible for providing all course-related materials to the students and faculty of the University. It also contains one of the finest academic general book collections within the collegiate bookstore industry. As a portal to the University, the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore serves as host to thousands of visitors to the University as they show pride in the institution through their purchase of Notre Dame apparel, gifts, and memorabilia.
