02.04.06 - Our BLSA chapter has had a great year. We had such a good year that Midwest BLSA named us Runner Up Chapter of the Year. Although we did not take first place, we still have an opportunity to compete for National Chapter of the Year, which is an honor bestowed only upon the first and second place chapters in the competition. We have worked hard to make our chapter a valuable resource to our members. We are truly humbled by Regional board's recognition of our efforts.
Photos of the scrapbook we entered in the Chapter of the year competition have been
posted to the photo album.

Leonard Stewart and Marlysha Myrthil Elected to the Midwest Regional Executive Board

02.04.06 - We are proud to announce that Leonard Stewart, 2L, has been elected Regional Chair of the Midwest BLSA executive board. He was a natural choice for Regional Chair because in his current role as Regional Corporate Relations Director, Leonard was instrumental in securing the funds need for our regional convention programs. In addition to serving on the regional board, Leonard will also serve on the national executive board.
If Leonard's election to the board weren't enough, our very own Marlysha Myrthil, 2L, was also elected to the regional executive board. She will serve as the Director of Programming, which is a position that will involve coordinating the regional programs for the 2006-2007 academic year.
