O'Hara Society

Twin sisters Muna Issa and Zein Issa Nakash (both MBA '91 and both members of the John Cardinal O'Hara Society) have carried the Notre Dame spirit to their hometown of Kingston, Jamaica.

While balancing demanding careers with SuperClubs Resorts-Zein is vice president of marketing and environmental affairs and Muna is treasurer-the sisters worked with other alumni to organize the Notre Dame club of Jamaica. They also spearheaded a program that matches ND students and alumni with internships and volunteer opportunities in Jamaica.

Zein sees her O'Hara Society membership as an opportunity to expand the Notre Dame family. "My two years at Mendoza were full of new experiences: cold weather, football and the Notre Dame family. Upon returning to Jamaica, the feeling of family that enveloped me at Notre Dame also motivated me to help others. The MBA program enriched my life; and my contribution to the O'Hara Society allows others to have the same experience."

Muna contributed to the O'Hara Society for a slightly different reason. to keep the MBA program on its upward trajectory. "During my two years in the MBA program," says Muna, "ND's Mendoza College of Business entered the Business Week Top 40 rankings for the first time. My classmates adopted the slogan, "Top 40 and on the way up!" I knew then that I wanted to be a part of the College's climb to the top and that my donation would help to achieve that goal."

The sisters agree that their membership in the O'Hara Society provides them with the opportunity to support their goals for the MBA program and to ensure its success.
