McGowan Grant Funds MBA scholarships

A $42,000 grant from the William G. McGowan Charitable Fund of Washington, D.C. supports two full tuition scholarship in the Mendoza MBA program during the 2001-2002 academic year. An earlier McGowan Fund grant supported two MBA scholarships at Notre Dame for the previous academic year. McGowan scholarships are awarded to MBA candidates who demonstrate unusual leadership qualities, character and outstanding academic achievement. The McGowan Scholars program is named in honor of the contributions made by McGowan, founder and chairman of MCI Communications Corporation, to the fields of business, telecommunications and entrepreneurs.
