As long as there has been a Notre Dame, there has been a Notre Dame Band. From very humble beginnings in the northern Indiana wilderness, the spirit of the Notre Dame Band has echoed without fail across the hallowed grounds of this special place.
We are richly blessed with a history and tradition over 160 years in the making - a continuous and lasting melody marked by the first graduation ceremony and historical first football game, beautified by countless concerts and liturgies, highlighted by national championships and accented by new faces that seek the future and honor the past.
We are proud to offer one of the most extensive selections of musical experiences found among America's top academic institutions. From our acclaimed Marching Band to our various concert and jazz ensembles to the smaller brass, woodwind and percussion groups, there is something for everyone at Notre Dame.
