PLEASE NOTE: Class meets MWF 12:45-1:45 in room HH 229.

 

TEXTBOOK: Lang –Algebra.

                                                                                   

SYLLABUS: Galois theory, homological algebra.

                                                                                                                   

EXAMS: There will be a midterm exam on Wednesday, March 4, in class. There will be a take home final at the end of the semester, due Thursday, May 7 at 7pm.

 

HOMEWORK: There will be regular homework to be posted on this page. You will also get together one time a week on Tuesdays at 1pm in room HAYE 129 to discuss homework problems. This is not required, but it is fun and helpful.

 

GRADING: The homework, midterm, and the take home final will each contribute to one third of your grade.

 

OFFICE HOUR: M 5-6pm in HH 122, or by appointment.
