Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program - University of Notre Dame
Open to: Undergraduates
UROP enhances undergraduate education by providing financial support to students who wish to engage in independent research, creative projects, or the presentation of their own research at conferences.

Research Experiences for Undergraduates Summer Research Program in Developmental Psychology
Open to: Undergraduates
Individuals accepted into the REU program at Western Kentucky University will participate in three types of activities: a research project, seminars and workshops, and group activities.

The Research Training Program at Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History
Open to: Undergraduates
The Research Training Program at Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History provides collections-based, hypothesis-testing research projects for students interested in learning more about natural history research in the biological, geological and anthropological sciences.

American Bar Foundation Summer Research Diversity Fellowships in Law and Social Science for Undergraduate Students
Open to: Sophomores and Juniors
The American Bar Foundation sponsors a program of summer research fellowships to interested undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds in pursuing graduate study in the social sciences. The summer program is designed to introduce students to the rewards and demands of a research-oriented career in the field of law and social science. 

Global Change Education Program - Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE)
Open to: Sophomores and Juniors
The approximately ten-week SURE program generally begins in early June through mid-August. Fellows attend a one-week orientation and focus session that includes a series of lectures to provide a detailed overview of all research areas within the BER global change mission. Fellows also receive more focused information on the specific areas in which they expect to conduct research. Following the orientation and focus sessions, SURE fellows travel to their nine-week research assignments at national laboratories or universities (or other participating DOE funded contractors) to conduct BER-supported global change research. Each Fellow has a mentor who directs and monitors his/her summer research experience.

Project L/EARN
Open to: Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors
The summer program is an intensive ten-week internship opportunity for qualified students who would like to obtain research skills and "hands-on" experience in health services research under the guidance of a distinguished faculty mentor. Summer training often leads to involvement in faculty research during the subsequent academic year . Faculty mentors represent a diverse array of disciplines, including health economics, medical sociology, medical anthropology, public health, social work, nursing, and health psychology; all head vigorous research programs. Each intern will be matched with a faculty mentor whose work is most closely aligned with his or her particular interests, skills, and background.

University of Utah Summer Research Opportunity Program in Psychology (SROP)
Open to: Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors
The Department of Psychology at the University of Utah invites you to apply for our Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP-Psychology) for underrepresented students. The goal of SROP-Psychology is to increase the number of underrepresented students who enter Ph.D. programs in psychology, helping to diversify the field and broaden the range of perspectives. Since its inception in 1992, most SROP participants have been accepted into high quality graduate programs, have presented their research at national conferences, and have developed into accomplished researchers and academicians.

Eastern Virginia Medical School Department of Pediatrics Summer Scholars Program
Open to: Sophomores and Juniors
Mentored summer research opportunity for rising college seniors and graduate students who are considering careers in the fields of medicine, biology, psychology, public or environmental health. Students work on research projects designed by their mentors, give research presentations, and may shadow physicians in various pediatric specialty fields of medicine at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia.

University of California, Berkeley Summer Research Opportunities Program for Underserved Undergrad
Open to: Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors
The Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) at the University of California, Berkeley, was established to promote access to graduate education among undergraduates who have been educationally or economically disadvantaged, and who may not have had exposure to the academic environment of a research university.
