The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Summer Internship Program
Open to: Sophomores and Juniors
Every summer (early June-early August), promising Latino undergraduates from across the country are selected for an eight-week leadership training program in the nation’s capital. While in DC, interns work in the offices of U.S. representatives. The curriculum focuses on work experience, community service, and educational and professional programming provided by CHCI. This comprehensive three-prong approach, coupled with the internship experience, provides an extraordinary learning and networking experience for students.
Federal Reserve Undergraduate Project Internships
Open to: Sophomores and Juniors
The Division of Research and Statistics offers paid internships during the summer for undergraduate students to work on projects previously identified by economists in the division. These positions are available to students majoring in economics, finance, statistics, mathematics, or computer science.
Metropolitan Museum of Art Internship Programs
Open to: Juniors and Seniors
The Metropolitan Museum of Art announces its 2009–2010 internship opportunities for college and graduate students interested in careers in art museums. Based upon their academic training and interests, as well as the availability of projects, interns work in one of the Metropolitan's departments—curatorial, education, conservation, administration, or library. Most projects require a strong knowledge of art history. Applicants of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Smithsonian Opportunities for Research and Study

The Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) at the University of California,
Open to: Sophomores and Juniors
The program offers internships in the arts and humanities, social sciences, and physical sciences for sophomores, juniors, and seniors (not graduating in the spring semester/quarter, except UC Berkeley students). This year SROP has the opportunity to also accommodate students interested in applying to law school. It is a eight-week program that will commence on Sunday, May 31, 2009, and continue through Saturday, July 25, 2009.
ICPSR Summer Undergraduate Internship Program at the University of Michigan
Open to: Sophomores
Interns will work in the UNIX, Windows environment and gain experience using statistical programs such as SAS, SPSS, and Stata to check data. ICPSR spans many substantive areas such as sociology, political science, demography, history, economics, gerontology, public health, criminal justice, substance abuse and mental health, education, health and medical care, and international relations.
