The office of Multicultural Student Programs and Services provides opportunities for ALL students to explore issues of cultural diversity, multicultural education, leadership development, and personal identity. Through its initiatives MSPS helps students excel academically, obtain professional experience, and establish networks...

Located in the Intercultural Center on the second floor of LaFortune Student Center, MSPS has been in existence since 1978 under the direction of the Office of Student Affairs. The professional staff encourages students to utilize the opportunities and resources that the University of Notre Dame has to offer. MSPS acts as referral and reference points for:

Iris Outlaw, Director
As Director Iris is responsible for developing and implementing programs that will enhance the lives of traditionally underrepresented students on campus, addressing needs associated with academic performance, social life, and religion. Other duties include assisting traditionally underrepresented student groups and serving as advisor to ethnic clubs and organizations. ioutlaw@nd.edu.

Michaelina "Micky" Magnuson, Assistant Director in charge of Programming
Micky comes to Notre Dame from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI where she was Interim Director of Native American Programs. She is also the Tribal Council Member-at-Large for the Pokagon band of Potawatomi. mmagnuso@nd.edu.

Arnel Bulaoro, Assistant Director in charge of Retention and Academic Success
A former graduate assistant in the MSPS office fourteen years ago, Arnel has since been a member of the faculty at Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth, TX where he served as chair of Theology and Boys Head Soccer Coach. Arnel recieved his B.A. from the University of Washington and his M.A. from Notre Dame. abulaoro@nd.edu.

Sue Pawlicki, Coordinator of Office Services
Sue is in charge of taking care of everyone who walks through the door. A native of Chicago, she has two children and works non-stop at making sure everyone feels welcome at MSPS. If you have questions about anything at all, Sue is the person to see. msps@nd.edu.

Remington Lee, Student Intern
Remington is a third-year business student from Los Angeles who will study in Shanghai next year. rlee3@nd.edu.

Toby Blake, Graduate Assistant
Most recently from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, Toby received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Anthropology and History. Toby is in his second year as a Master of Theological Studies candidate in Biblical Studies. tblake@nd.edu.
