The
M.S. in Accountancy program welcomes qualified applicants
who possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college
or university. Applicants should have at least a major in
business with some accounting courses. Students lacking
a sufficient business and/or accounting background may need
to complete additional coursework to enroll in the MS in Accountancy
program. Candidates may apply to the M.S. in Accountancy program
at the completion of their junior year in college. Applicants
must take the Graduate Management Admissions Test, complete
the application form, provide transcripts from all undergraduate
institutions, two letters of recommendation, personal statement,
original GMAT and TOEFL (international students) scores, along
with course descriptions of classes not taken at Notre Dame.
The Admissions Committee may require a personal interview
for admission. Personal interviews will not be scheduled
until a completed application is on file.
The
Admissions Committee seeks to admit motivated applicants with
superior intellectual ability, excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, and the potential for a successful career
as a professional accountant. The Admissions Committee evaluates
applicants based on the following criteria:
1. Undergraduate academic record
2. GMAT score (http://www.gmac.com)
3. TOEFL score (international
students) May be waived if English
is the primary language of the undergraduate institution**
4. Personal statement*
5. Professional, community and extracurricular activities
6. Personal interview (if required by the Admissions
Committee)
7.
Two letters of recommendation.

Candidates with undergraduate degrees from United States’
universities will include a $50 fee with their submitted application.
A $100 application fee applies to students with undergraduate
degrees from universities outside of the United States.

strengths, weaknesses, educational and professional
experiences, your achievements and goals, and other
information that you believe makes you unique.
You should also discuss how your past leadership experiences
have prepared you for active involvement in the University
of Notre Dame M.S. in Accountancy program.
**TOEFL
scores may be waived for
international students who attended undergraduate
universities where English is the primary language.
However, it will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. |
