VEX is a versatile robot development kit offered by Innovation First Inc. We developed a mobile swarm agent using this together with Tmote wireless nodes. Construction of the VEX mobile sensing agent is illustrated here.

 
Several successful demonstrations were conducted using this platform to verify the functioning of the navigation and swarming algorithms we have developed. Videos are available at the VEX demo page.
