Peter Bauer

 

Dr.Bauer received the Diplom degree from the Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany, in 1984 and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida, USA, in 1987. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame and is the Head of the Mobile Sensor Systems (MOSES) Laboratory.

He is the author or coauthor of over 130 technical papers and 06 book chapters. He served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on circuits and systems ii (1989-1991, 2003-2005) and the Journal of Multidimensional Systems and Signal Processing (1989-1991) and recently served as Guest Associate Editor for a special edition of the IEICE Transactions on Information and Systems in 2005. He received the E.I. Jury Award from the University of Miami in 1987, the NASA Technical Innovator Award in 1992, Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship in 1997 and the University of Notre Dame Kaneb Center Best Teacher Award in 2005. He is a Fellow of the IEEE.

His research interests include digital signal processing and control, sensor and actuator networks, mobile wireless sensing, congestion control, evidential reasoning, evidential filtering and fusion, distributed mD systems, and stability theory of discrete-time systems.

Duminda Dewasurendra

Duminda received the B.Sc. degree (with First Class Honors) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2000 and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Miami, FL in 2003. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Dept. of Electrical Engineering at University of Notre Dame, and a Research Assistant at the MOSES group. During the summer of 2004 and 2005, he was with Motorola Inc., Plantation FL.


Duminda's research interests include wireless sensing, mobile sensor and actuator networks, information processing in distributed sensor networks, and digital signal processing. He is a student member of the IEEE.

Yupeng Liang

Yupeng Liang received the B. Eng. in Telecommunication Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China P.R. in 2004. Currently he is a M.Sc. candidate at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Notre Dame, IN and is a member of the MOSES group.

 

Yupeng's research interests lie in the broad areas of networked control and signal processing, with particular emphasis on networked embedded control system with communication constraints and/or synchronization errors, multi-dimensional systems and signal processing, and distributed digital filter applications. He is a student member of IEEE.
