I am currently a postdoc at the Mathematics department of Notre-Dame University, where I work with Sergei Starchenko.
I was previously a postdoc at the Pure Math department of the University of Waterloo. I worked there with Rahim Moosa.
Before that I was a Modnet postdoc at the maths department of the University of East-Anglia, where I worked with David Evans.
My full CV is available. My contact details are below.
I am interested in model theory, and its applications to other areas of mathematics, especially to algebraic geometry and algebra. I also like algebraic geometry in general, as well as category theory. A more detailed description of my past and planned research is available.
I am currently teaching a Graduate model theory
course on the model theory of difference fields (ACFA
). My notes are being written on the fly.
During spring 2008 I taught the course Introduction to Group Theory
(PMath 336, lecture notes).
During fall 2007, I was teaching Linear Algebra for Engineers
(Math
115). My lecture notes are
available.
All my papers are also available on the arXiv.
Here are some notes, mainly from lectures I gave.
The Logic seminar at Waterloo
The Model theory seminar at McMaster
The Working model thoery seminar at McMaster
Model theory, algebra and geometry A book on model theory and its applications
Books by Michael Singer, including an on-line version of the book on differential Galois theory
Scans of the SGA
This Week's Finds in Mathematical Physics A column of John Baez (nothing to do with physics, apparently)
