The terrifying visions of the Apostle John are presented in this manuscript with unexpected restraint
and graciousness. Courtly, elegant figures are moving about in a generally orderly
setting; there is no real chaos or disruption. Even the beasts are somehow well-behaved,
rather than frightening.
