The goal of this project is to design a robot-football player. This robot-football player will eventually be used in a robot-football competition, which will be very similar to American football.
The prototype will be a running back robot. This robot will move on two motor driven wheels and have the support of back sliding hemisphere; the robot will also have the capability to move autonomously or through the use of a remote control. An infrared sensor will be used to detect peg defenders in the robot’s path. The robot will move to avoid the defenders and continue towards the end zone.
