Bad News Bots is a group of 5 senior Mechanical Engineers at the University of Notre Dame. Tasked with creating an intercollegiate robotic football competition, Bad News Bots has been working to create a robotic football player. The ultimate goal is to start a competition in which robots play the game of american football. Bad News Bots has been focusing on developing the rules for this intercollegiate sport and creating a prototype to demonstrate selected features that will be seen in robotic football. This robot, RobO.J. Simpson, acts as a running back and avoids defenders in order to get to the endzone and score.
