The purpose of this engineering design project was to develop a fully automated system which will successfully transport a resistor to a circuit board and solder it in place. The product was designed using virtual modeling and engineering analysis. The product developed is intended to have practical applications in a small-scale manufacturing setting. The advantages of the ACE team's product design are its small size, simplicity, and low cost. A prototype was developed in order to test the feasibility of the product design. The prototype was then evaluated based on reliability, repeatability, speed, portability, and cost.

The ACE team is currently working hard to assemble and test our prototype
before it is to be presented to group consisting of faculty and students next week.
