Preliminary Design Review presentations were delivered on a weekly basis to the professors managing the design projects. These presentations provided an update on the development of the design concept, highlighted the major actions taken during the past week, outlined the major actions planned for the upcoming week, and identified any unexpected difficulties that were encountered.

PRELIMINARY DESIGN REVIEWS (PDR's)

In order to record and document the time resources allocated to the project, Task Tracking Summaries were developed once every week. This project documentation details the number of hours spent by each team member working on project activities as well as the general nature of those activies.

The following project management information documents the team's communication with the professors managing the projects, standards for evaluation of project sucess, the time resources allocated to the project by the team members, and the budget considerations of the project.

TASK TRACKING SUMMARIES (TTS)

PROJECT COMPONENTS AND BUDGET

An overall budget of $400 was allocated for prototype construction. The following documentation identifies all components used to fabricate the prototype, the sources from which these components were acquired, and the purchase and shipping costs of all components.

Prototype Components and Budget

PROTOTYPE PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

A set of prototype performance requirements were created as a means to evaluate the overall success of the prototype. These requirements measure how well the prototype actually performs in relation to the intended design performance.

Prototype Performance Requirements

After construction of the prototype was completed, the prototype performance was tested and evaluated. The Completed Prototype Performance Requirements gives the results of this evaluation.

To concisely summarize all of the Task Tracking data from over the course of the entire project, the following summary plots were created.

Project Task Tracking Summary by Team Member - Graphical representation of the time spent on project activities by each of the team members over the course of the project

Project Task Tracking Summary by Task Type - Graphical representation of the amount of time spent on specific task types (Planning/Organization, Reporting/Documentation, Analysis/Modeling, Prototyping) over the course of the project.
