Direction to Get to Notre Dame:

Notre Dame is located on the northern limits of South Bend, Indiana (90 miles east of Chicago).

Most of Indiana, including Notre Dame and South Bend, is in an exempt time zone. Therefore, we are always on Eastern Standard Time. We do not observe Daylight Savings Time.

BY CAR: Approach South Bend via the Indiana Toll Road (I-80/I-90) and exit at Interchange 77. After exiting the Indiana Toll Road, turn right (south) on Indiana 933 and drive to the traffic light at Angela Boulevard. At the traffic light turn left (east) onto Angela and proceed to the first traffic light at Notre Dame Avenue. Turn north on Notre Dame Avenue. Visitor Parking will be on your right, south of the Hesburgh Center for International Studies. Parking in the visitor lot requires a $2 fee.

BY AIR: Delta, U.S. Air and Northwest Airlines provide direct connecting flights into the South Bend Regional Airport . United Express and American Eagle Airlines have several daily commuter flights from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport to South Bend. ComAir connects to Delta with daily flights from Cincinnati, while Trans World Express services TWA through St. Louis. The United Limo bus line runs regularly scheduled ground transportation from Chicago's O'Hare and Midway airports and from the South Bend Regional Airport. BY TRAIN: Amtrak serves South Bend and nearby Niles, Mich., from Chicago. Taxi service is then available from the train station to Notre Dame. For Amtrak Information call (800)872-7245. The Chicago-to-South Bend South Shore Railroad provides service to and from the South Bend Regional Airport. For South Shore information call (800)356-2079.

BY BUS: Bus transportation is maintained by Greyhound Bus Lines and American Trailways Bus Lines through terminals at the South Bend Regional Airport.
