Running the model

This tutorial uses two programs and three experiments to explore probability.  Each experiment has a set of instructions, and if you are not sure of your results at any point, you are encouraged to repeat the experiment.  Try making predictions BEFORE you run the experiments.

In order to run those programs, you will need to download them from the Try it section.

Extensions of the coin-flipping tutorial:

  • Find a way to figure out how often you would get two heads out of two when flipping two coins.

  • Extend your model to figure out how often you would get ten heads out of ten when flipping ten coins.

Extensions of the dice-tossing tutorial:

  • Try to predict probabilities for each combination for three, four or more dice.
