Thought Leadership the ability to spot a problem and apply methodologies to address it. In our curriculum, our students learn to tackle business problems head-on using a broad array of analytical tools and frameworks. Across accounting, finance, marketing, operations and business strategy, students are taught to assess threats, opportunities and organizational behavior. Our students then refine these skills by applying them to contemporary, real business problems in an integrative fashion.

Action Leadership — Beyond problem solving, Notre Dame also prepares students to execute the solutions they develop. Our students learn how to advance strategic agendas by prioritizing tactics, mobilizing resources, motivating people, and communicating objectives. Courses in organizational consulting, decision making and our unique corporate cases bring students out of the classroom and into the boardroom of companies like HP, Boeing and IBM, where they test their mettle managing real-world scenarios with real-time pressures.

Values Leadership — Father Edward Frederick Sorin, who in 1842 founded the University of Notre Dame and became its first president, shared a vision that his university would one day become a “means for good in the nation.” Today, that vision has become reality. Ethics is integral to our mission of growing leaders. Not only do we send men and women into business with a sound knowledge of business theory, we also prepare them with sound concepts of business morality.
