Student Life

Students at Mendoza engage in numerous clubs and activities that foster leadership growth, encourage community building, and allow for personal development.  Students strive to create a positive, lasting change on Notre Dame as well as in the lives of their fellow classmates.

Faith Development Committee

The Graduate Faith Committee, run by students under the guidance of Dean Woo, seeks to provide MBAs with opportunities in which they can both share and strengthen their faith lives.  From weekly masses in Mendoza to the MBA Reflection Weekend held in January, there are several opportunities for students to participate in faith building activities with their classmates.  While our activities are Catholic-focused, all faiths are encouraged to participate!

Family Life Committee

The family life committee is an organization for MBAs with a spouse and/or children. The committee seeks to meet the special needs of families while providing opportunities for family-friendly social gatherings and activities. activities have included, but are not limited to, ND football away game get-togethers, dinners, barbecues, trips to the zoo, ND baseball games, activities for MBA spouses, and winter tubing.

Race & Case

Race & Case is a national competition between top MBA programs, focused on an international business ethics case.  The cases over the past two years have pertained to business operations amidst the political turmoil of the Sudan and environmentalism and business, specifically the issue of sustainability for a Canadian paper company.

The case competition combines all MBA elements including finance, strategy, and marketing in addition to a strong focus on business ethics.  The event is held each February at the University of Colorado, Daniels School of Business.  The Mendoza College of Business regularly participates in this case competition along with other top MBA programs at The University of California - Berkeley, Indiana University, Purdue University, Rice University, and Brigham Young University.

Mendoza has a legacy of great success at Race & Case.  In 2005, Notre Dame finished in 1st place!  In 2006 and 2007, Notre Dame finished in 3rd and 2nd respectively.
